On January 10, 2020 the way user roles and permissions are structured will change to make it easier for all users to access each of the Routeique™ platform products using one set of credentials. This important change will also continue to support better data security.
Upcoming Outage Dates
- December 27 - 28, 2019: Intermittent Platform Outages affecting the Routeique™ Digital Control Tower and both the IMS and DMS mobile applications
- January 10, 2020: Release Date, 6 hour outage window 7:00pm - 1:00am EST
Digital Control Tower Changes
All current Routeique™ passwords will be removed on January 11, 2020 during the specified release window. These will need to be reset by all users upon first login. Passwords will need to contain:
- At least one letter
- At least one number
- Minimum 6 characters
- We also recommend special characters such as "!@#$%^&*()" but they are not required
Press the 'Forgot Your Password?' link to reset it. You will receive an email with a one-time login link to complete the forgot password process.
After this update, you'll no longer need a client key to login. Simply enter your email and password.
As this update comes into effect, all user profiles including drivers (excluding customers that access the Order Portal), will need to be created and managed in the Users tab of the Settings menu.
When editing or creating a user, the application access settings will allow administrators to indicate what kind of access each user has. When editing access, administrative users will be able to select which platform (Distributor Admin, Order Portal, DMS, IMS) each user is allowed to access. Suggested configurations are:
- Administrator = Digital Control Tower, Order Portal, DMS, IMS
- User = Digital Control Tower, Order Portal, DMS
- Warehouse = IMS
- Drivers = DMS
These configurations will allow each role type to use the same login credentials for each Routeique™ product they are provided access to.
Driver Login Changes
The Driver Management page will be removed from its current place under Routes in the main menu. Driver profiles will now be created and stored like any other user under the Users tab of the Settings menu.
Driver usernames will be set to driverID@driverID.com, this can be changed to the driver's real email once the user permission release is active. A Client Key will still be required for login into the DMS mobile application.
ie: If your driver id before the update was "1234GB" then your new driver ID will be 1234GB@1234GB.com
Most driver passwords will be maintained during this transition but they can also be manually updated from within the Users edit interface on the Routeique™ Digital Control Tower.
Old Routeique™ Mobile Application
Lastly, please note that effective January 10, 2020 the old Routeique™ Mobile application will no longer be supported by Routeique™ and will thereby be rendered unusable.
