Product Linking

Automatically add products to an order when certain items are placed on an order.

If you have items that need to always be added to an order when other items are ordered, such as deposits, levies, item-specific fees and product kits and bundles, you'll be able to set a rule to have them applied to an order automatically so you never forget!

Product Linking

Product linking is available to manage SKUs, simply by visiting the profile for the SKU. For instance, if you need a deposit added each time someone orders a 1L bottle of orange juice, simply add the deposit as a separate product and link it to the 1L orange juice.

Whenever a customer adds the orange juice to an order, the deposit will automatically get added as well.

Kits & Bundles

The product linking feature is also a useful tool to bundle items together as a kit. If you're selling a  kit with 6 products included, all you have to is add the 'Kit Name' as the item that is available for order. You will then link all the 6 products included to that same kit and whenever a customer orders the kit, all 6 items will automatically be added to the order and your inventory management pick list.

Link Types

When linking products, there are two types of linking that you can choose from:

Static: Regardless of how many of Product A is ordered, a set quantity of Product B is automatically added when Product A is on the order.

Ratio: For every 'x' quantity of Product A ordered, a set quantity of Product B is added to the order.

Ex: For every 3 items of Product A ordered, then 1 of Product B is included. So if 6 of Product A is ordered, then 2 of Product B is added to the order.

Delivery Management for Links

Choose whether you want to allow your delivery team to be able to short these linked products at the point of delivery.

Shortable Links:  Your delivery team can adjust the quantity on any linked products at the point of delivery.

Non-Shortable Links: Your delivery team cannot adjust the quantity on any linked products at the point of delivery.
